DesignPoint to Re-Design Bensalem Continuing Care Retirement Community

The Lehigh Valley’s only stand alone interior design firm landed a contract for the renovation of Wood River Village in Bensalem, PA. Wood River Village is an Independent LifeCare Continuing Care Retirement Community situated on 20 acres in Bucks County. The community was originally built in the 1980s was recently acquired by Juniper Communities in the beginning of 2017.
Based in Bloomfield, NJ Juniper Communities is a family owned company with multiple senior living properties, including assisted living facilities, memory care communities and skilled nursing facilities. Juniper Communities’ properties are located Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Juniper Communities plans on completely renovating Wood River Village in several phases. Phase I will include an overhaul of their main building and town center that includes the lobby, sitting area, health center and common areas for residents, guests and visiting families. The project will also feature a re-design of a 5,000 SF roof top deck area. The first phase of renovations began in early 2017.
The community will be rebranded as Juniper Village of Bucks County and with the renovations it is expected to be one of the more modern senior living communities in lower Bucks County and Northeast Philadelphia.
DesignPoint was selected for the project due to their experience in senior living. Juniper Communities has contracted DesignPoint in the past to work on four of their communities in Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
