Success Breeds Success

Kim Stuckey’s daughter, Greta, selected to participate as panelist at 2020 Student World Affairs Conference. 

The success of DesignPoint is largely centered on the caliber of our talented staff. Not only does the talented staff produce great work, but they also produce great children – both of which are a tremendous source of pride! In that spirit we want to brag about our extended family, Greta Stuckey, daughter of Purchasing Director Kimberly Stuckey.

Greta has been selected as one of six panelists for the Identifying and Resolving Past and Present Inequalities discussion at the 2020 Student World Affairs Conference (SWAC) on February 28, 2020. The event will offer several breakout sessions and a key note presentation. Greta, a freshman at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, will speak on literacy and gender in India. Greta originally investigated the topic for a first semester writing course. She is a strong advocate of womens’ issues and gender studies as well as a big proponent of education. Marist, a liberal arts college and the 2020 event host, encouraged students to submit papers for consideration in the roundtables. Greta submitted her paper and was invited to participate.

SWAC is an annual, academic conference held in the Mid-Hudson Valley. The conference is sponsored by the World Affairs Council of the Mid-Hudson Valley. At SWAC, Students from colleges and universities in the Mid-Hudson Valley present their research and papers regarding international issues, such as sustainable development, global governance, human rights, democratization and international security.
